The fair trade felt bird house is hand-felted with natural woolen fibers. The birdhouse is in the fun design of an orange and is approximately 7"h x 4"w. The fair trade felt bird house is made with renewable and recyclable material. These products provide jobs for urban and village women in Nepal. This is a Fair and ethically traded product that uses environmentally friendly dyes. Yes, birds will use these birdhouses! They will hold up in direct sun and rain for a year or more, but will last forever in a protected spot. Rain naturally sheds from wool. If the surface gets wet it will easily air dry. The 1.25" hole is sized for small birds such as wrens, chickadees, nuthatches and blue birds but can be enlarged for larger birds. This product is made with sustainably harvested materials including sheep wool, natural hemp hanging cord, and a bamboo perch.
